Ever feel like you can’t take another day of all this stress? The world has got you feeling like it’s beat you up and threw you away? Are out waiting for vultures to come down on your head and eat the scraps of what’s left of your tired and aching body? Don’t dismay, there is Hope in our suffering.
Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians, Chapter 4, verse 8;
8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
See, we can be affected by the trials of this world. It can make us weary, put us under pressure and it can even knock us down! But it cannot and will not kill us.
As Believers, not only do we carry the Life of the Almighty Jesus Christ our Lord inside of us, we also still carry the death of our Ademic Nature. Therefore, we are simultaneously dealing with the New man, but the old man as well.
Until we are separated from our flesh we will suffer with these afflictions of flesh, but the New Spirit within us, knowing all our strength comes to us in our weakness, shouts joyful praises unto God every day for saving us through Grace and Mercy so that we too, with Christ, may have Everlasting Life.
Paul explains why the Spirit gives rejoicing in verse 7 of this chapter when he compares our flesh to simple jars of clay. We find in our inability to cope, our strength actually comes from God. He works within us to substantiate our Faith is from Him and keep us going with Hope and Joy.
When God lives inside our soul, we slowly transform. We become beacons of light that shine in the darkness and point the way to eternal life which we know is of us now and will be forever.
Stay encouraged Believers! Be grateful, the Lord our God has embodied Himself to us, in us so that we may taste forever Peaceful all the days of our life, even through the turmoils of this world.
