Ever feel that crumbling sensation when all hope is lost and you have run out of options? It feels like the world is falling apart and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it.
What an incredibly scary moment it can be to feel so weak in a time of suffering. The Good News is, this is when we are the strongest in the Lord!
Our strength comes from our Heavenly Daddy, just as our Faith does! It is instilled in us through Christ. It dwells within us by the Spirit of the Holy Lamb who has taken residence within us.
Paul states it with so much passion as He shares to the Gentiles that God’s Grace has fallen on them as well as the chosen in Ephesians 3:14-19.
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15. from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16. that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17. so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18. may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19. and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
God’s gift to man was making himself accessible to us so that we didn’t have to want or need for anything! Just as it was in the beginning. God wanted us to be wholly and joyfully dependant on Him! This is why He promises us Provisions, Strength, Hope with Faith and Joy! He gave us all these things through our Salvation through Christ!
The Promise of Christ holds so many other promises and they are all summed up into Christ’s death and resurrection! One of those wonderful promises is Strength in Weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9
And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
How do we know this to be true? Look at Daniel in the Lion’s Den. Did Daniel possess strength against these mighty lions? Do you think he was given some special large kitty taming power? Not in the least! But He did have Faith in His Heavenly Father to keep the mouths of the Lions shut. Therefore, He was not saved by anything else but God and His power to show the King Daniel was innocent. The only thing Daniel had to do was Believe that God would save him.
Daniel 6:21-22
21. Then Daniel spoke to the king, “O king, live forever! 22. “My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths and they have not harmed me, inasmuch as I was found innocent before Him; and also toward you, O king, I have committed no crime.”
Then how do we practice this Faith in our God if it is from our Lord in the first place? How do we practice this strength He promises us to have in weakness? Simple, by first Believing it to be evident without first seeing it and then celebrating its manifestation in our lives before it has even occurred.
Have you ever had something magnificent happen to you and then immediately known without a shadow of doubt that it was God who caused this to happen for you? These are the instances we can hold onto to be reminders when we are feeling doubt so as to practice the Faith God has seeded within us. And it is by Believing that we grow and mature our Faith and Strength in God!
We cannot grow our Faith on our own, but through the relationship we build with our Heavenly Father, we see it manifest within us. So also is our Strength in times of weakness.
We must always seek Him first and all other things shall be added to us according to His will. We must practice talking with God with a grateful heart knowing He can and will answer us!
Philippians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Believe in the Promises of God! These are the covenants we can live by everyday! We can stand without doubt and know in every situation that whatever happens, it is God’s will for us and because He intends us no harm and only goodness, we can already be grateful for what is to come.
Let us be strong in the Lord for He has brought us into His breast and we will rest there forevermore.
God Bless Saints of God! Have a wonderful day!
