As a writer of encouragement, I find it bothersome that people who share horrid stories and posts on Social Media only to stand in opposition of what they share. Don’t they understand the more it is shared, the more popular it becomes? I am fairly confident that it is public knowledge that negative media is more powerful than positive media. And if our hearts and minds are filled with debates, will we have room for Love?
As Believers we have so much more happening in our lives than all the drama in world. We, above others, have an immense ability to CHOOSE JOY and yet we insist on relying on the topics of the world to fill our days. Our communities, whether they are electronic or in person, should be spent on energizing one another, not tearing each other down. If we’re sharing the oppression just to talk crap about it… We are deliberately stalling our peace with God by choosing the world’s ways over His.
Furthermore, We should not find ourselves so surprised as Believers at the evilness in the world. Did God our Father not warn us of these tribulations? Why are we dismayed at how wretched SIN is? Do we not understand it? Why do we think we can take it out of the world?
1 John 5:19
We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
It will only be the Spirit that Lives within us which is greater than the one who is in the world that has the Power to conquer evil. Man must prove that he is unable to sustain without God in order to receive Grace in place of the Law.
Let us ENCOURAGE one another, not join the scoffers! Let us speak the Word of God into the world, not join the lines of sinners who know not what they do! Let us stop throwing pearls to swine. Let us come together to build the Body of Christ. Each one of us should put on our New Self each and every day as the scripture explains in Ephesians 4. The flesh will consistently be corrupted by this world, it’s up to us to choose a different way of living!
Ephesians 6:10-12
10. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
As Believers we must know that the things happening in the world today are not just a series of unfortunate events! This is the prophecied Will of God coming forth on earth just as He said it would.
So, let us join together under God and choose to stop spreading the negativity. Stop giving the world power and choose JOY instead! Choose Jesus! Talk about Him! Be with Him! Be in Him! We all know what is happening and those of us who are awake are getting beat down… As our fellow Believers and not yet Believers lose hope, the least we can do is be the salt of the earth as we were instructed to be. We can bring forth fruit to feed people’s energy with the Holy Spirit rather than the depressed ways of the world.
Hebrews 10:24-25
24. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25. not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Whether you are speaking against a topic or not, sharing it in your conversation or in your social medias gives it POWER. It gives it power in the world and in your life! Have you ever tried ignoring a bully? Especially when they are trying to get your goat? It makes them even more mad because they know they aren’t getting to you. That you have no concern over them and you refuse to pay attention. Would we not be more effective if we learned to ignore the things that are not of us in this world?
The scriptures tell us that upon our Salvation we are seated in Heavenly places at the Right Hand of Christ. Why then would we waste our time talking about things that have nothing to do with our Spiritual reality?
Romans 1:16
16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
As Believers are we not SEPARATED from this world? Standing Holy and Blameless? Then why would we make unclean what God has called clean? Why would we pursue an understanding of the evilness? Is that not our Adamic Nature once again condemning us to being little minded as the curse made us to be? These are questions we need to start asking ourselves and our fellow Believers. Let not our minds be focused on the world.
As we traverse thru communities, we are here to spread the Good News! We cannot do that by filling our minds with worry, hate and debates over which sin is worse in this world. It is ALL Sin, let it go. God will judge this world. We are here to show how He will Save it!
If we want to see more Love in the world, we must be the first to share it. We may be the last traces of Grace this world will see for generations to come. So let us be responsible with the Freedom Christ has given us in Him.
