A Hope the War is Won | When We Simply Believe in Victory

“He calls us by name to His Right Hand in Heavenly Places. Let us Follow with Great Joy to be Chased by our God and Live each day in our New Selves, Fighting the Good Fight alongside our Brethren in Battle which falls from us as Prayer, earning us the Wisdom of the Good News and Hope for our Lives Eternal; while Resting in the Knowledge of the kept promises by our Poppa God, the Alpha and Omega of our very existence.”

Quote by Corrie Vallance; A Hope the War is Won | When We Simply Believe in Victory

Sometimes we pry, and wrench and hammer and try so hard in order to win a battle in our lives that we don’t realize that if we simply let go and let God, we could be rid of the problem forever.

Humans feels as though they need to be in charge of every instance going on in their lives. Throughout the entirety of our existence, we desperately seek to know the future and forget the past. It becomes such an innate struggle that most of the time, we don’t even realize that we are doing it And then, with each new trial and tribulation, the whole process of learning Faith starts all over again.

We so easily forget how much God has saved us in the past and each time we feel trouble we seek proof that He will do it again in the future. Instead of relying on our Faith, we react in Fear. How much anxiety does this way of life burden the Believer? It is a constant inner argument to win the bet. When will we simply let go and believe?

My Dear Believers in Christ, I employ you to understand that this is not the way for man to live.

When we are struggling with something because we can’t let go of the control over it, we feel isolated and alone. We separate our God head from our human mindset and start letting the enemy lie to us. Then, just as naturally, we start believing those lies! Do not be deceived into thinking that somehow we have a part in our Salvation, that we must try harder, or do it “right” in order for God to bless us… We must not be fooled into thinking that there is anything we can do but Let Go, and yes, Let God.

To the Seeker, God is waiting patiently to give you something new, but you must be willing to let go of what you are holding onto. Christ waits to take that old adamic nature within you and give you a new sense of stability and freedom in Him. When we allow Him to Live through us instead of us Living by Him, we change our religious walk into a Faith walk.

How many of us quote religion to one another when we are in the midst of a battle? We say things like, “Stay Strong”, “be a Warrior of God!”, “Fight the Good Fight!”, or one of my favorites, “Keep the Faith!” These clichés make for sound advice to those who are looking for a way to make it happen within themselves, but they don’t apply to the Walk in Faith. Our Strength comes from the Joy of the Lord. Nehemiah 8:10.

Then we find that Apostle Paul tells the Believers that a true Warrior of God puts on the Armor of God each and every day with deliberation as a fortress for the New Self that lies within us. The emulation of Christ which guides us in His character to take on the trials of this world so as to be blessed in the next. This Godly Life is explained to the Church in Ephesus with great detail so as to give the reader a full interpretation of the Scripture of Instruction. The following passage is a Manual to Live by from the Lord containing a very concise orientation to the state of mind we must come to in order to utilize all the tools God has given us to Let Go and Let God.

The Whole Armor of God
Eph 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
Eph 6:15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:16 withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Eph 6:18 with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,
Eph 6:19 and on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
Eph 6:20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

As I read through, I realized that there was much translation that needs to be heard from these verses. To sum up this excerpt of Ephesians, we must understand what God is trying to tell the Believers to do in order to Walk in Faith. This is the very definition of getting up in the morning, dressing ourselves for the day and going out as Christians in this life so as to share the Good News! Let us understand these verses so that they can give us the Hope we need to Let Go and Let God.

Eph 6:10 Be Strong in HIM, not in ourselves! This is not a strength of flesh, but in Spirit. Our Hope to win the Fight is in our Redeemer, not in our Abilities.

Eph 6:11 Let us not put only part of the armor on, but the WHOLE Armor of God. In order that we can stand firm against the wiles, or trickery of the devil.

Eph 6:12 We aren’t fighting a flesh war, we are fighting a Spiritual One! We must wrap our heads around that fact. Living this life really has nothing to do with our jobs, families, cars, houses, boyfriends or girlfriends. Have you read Ecclesiastes? The meaning of this life is about falling in Love with our God again and learning to walk with Him in the Garden every day.

Eph 6:13 This verse is the Establishment of our Faith bringing forth the Finished Work of God in our Stance during the day of evil which is the time we live in now. This tells us that if we put on the Armor of God in our life, we will stand against the evilness and by this we will uphold the Finished Work of Christ!

Notice that this passage says nothing about running into battle thus far, but let us read on as we learn what the Armor of God represents.

Eph 6:14 “So Stand having guarded your loins in Truth” Your loins refer externally to your hips, the center of gravity in a human. Internally, your loins refers to your procreative power. So, in other words, guard your center of gravity in Truth as well as your seed.

Then, it goes on to refer to a Chest Plate of Righteousness. Where do we get our Righteousness? From Faith! We learn about “The Heroes of Faith” featured in Hebrews 11 and how they earned their Righteousness through employing their Faith! They Let Go and Let God. Enoch, Abraham, Jacob, Sarah, Noah and even Abel knew that if they allowed God to lead their lives, they could never lose. They did not rely on their own abilities, they relied on God in very difficult circumstances. That reliability brought them great Freedom in the Lord.

Eph 6:15 In this verse we learn that our Feet as Believers are bound by the Good News of Peace. This is surely not referring to Army Boots is it? We come to fight a battle wearing Shoes of Peace, meaning shoes of Rest or Quietness. This sounds far from our cries in battle when we are struggling with a problem and telling a friend about it in anger! We must quiet ourselves and give God the ability to fight the battle for us because He is our Strength.

Eph 6:16 Here we see a focus phrase where God says, “Above All”, meaning to put first. In this verse, the Shield of Faith is pertaining to the Walk in Moral Conviction or Truthfulness of God. This will quench or drown the fire of the wicked when you experience spiritual warfare.

So far, we still see that there is no fight, no battle, just Knowledge and Rest in the Lord. Let us read on…

Eph 6:17 The head is where the Helmet goes and it is also what holds the Mind. We know that with true Salvation, comes a Renewing of the Mind. So, do we see why God places a Helmet of Salvation on our Heads? It is the encompassing of Salvation to sway the Mind as it learns to Believe in the Lord and not in itself. The Mind governs the whole body, so it can sway your thoughts, your actions and your emotions. In order to keep it in the Lord, we must wrap it in the Knowledge of our Salvation so that it can bring to us good thoughts, good actions and the Logic of Joy.

And then, in verse seventeen, finally we see it, the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, the only weapon given to the warrior.

Notice though, there is no question as to what the Spirit stands for in the Scripture. Why do you think it was so important for us to understand that the only weapon that we are given is to stand for knowledge of scripture and not for killing or hurting our foes?

Our words to one another are so very important as we walk in Faith. We are instructed time and time again to be loving and to not use harmful words against one another. Is it true one who studies in Language may have a more interesting way of telling a story? So it is true with the Believer. We must know the Word of God so as to speak of it justly, magnificently and with great confidence. So even the Sword that God graced our Armor with is not used for fighting a Battle.

Eph 6:18 Here we see how to present our troubles, our worries of everyday living to the Lord. Through prayer and supplication, but offering them with Gratefulness which we learn in Philippians 4:6. And not that we offer these prayers on only our behalf, but on behalf of all the Saints! Or Believers, that we pray earnestly for one another as well. The battle we are facing is against the wickedness in the world, against Spiritual Warfare and Principalities. This is emphasized above in Ephesians 6:12.

Eph 6:19 And we find that as we spend time in prayer and supplications, the words that we find uttered in prayer may boast of the Mystery of the Good News in order to reveal it to ourselves upon reflection in the Spirit! The Lord actually bestows wisdom to us as we comfort ourselves in Prayer Brethren.

Eph 6:20 And this is the Good News and Wisdom we can give testimony as we know it as Truth! We can speak Boldly in these things in order to encourage ourselves and one another in times of trouble.

This the way of the Lord. Our lives here were to be met with challenge to prove we cannot do it on our own,but in Him, by resting and Believing on Christ, we can face any battle that comes our way! These battles are the troubles of our everyday life. These trials don’t come to chase us into darkness and doubt, but to chase our hearts into submission! Christ chases us into Wonder! Life and Freedom! He chases us into Salvation!

It has been said that a woman who keeps herself chased for a husband is considered clean, and able to be a bride. But who of us have done so from this day and age? Men and Women alike have given themselves to others without realizing the consequences of sacrificing our Spirit to this world and its desires before sacrificing it to the Lord. In the same way we give our Faith up to our Fears. We resign to worry and anxiety before we stand firm in our Knowledge of the Lord’s proven and providential ways! The beautiful part about Jesus, is that He takes us dirty, unclean, spoiled, stricken in sin and then makes us a Holy, a Clean Bride in Him!

Let go and let God! If you’re chasing your troubles with a sword of vengeance, regret, instability, price, anger, hate, worry or fear, you’ll never be satisfied to see the war won! And to all, Love your God first! In all things, God must be first function of our processes, the Head of the body. If one does not love God, then they love themselves more than life itself and they will never be fulfilled in a relationship with God!

Matthew 6:24

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

Let us put ourselves in a relationship with the God Almighty and see the gifts He wants to shower us in! See the places He can take us! Become the Inheritance of the Lord as the Clean Bride is to a Husband. Become a chased prize, a gem, a desired Rose for the Table of God.

‘Here’s what I can tell you: I was one way. And now I am completely different.’ and the only part in between was Him – Mary of Magdala; The Chosen, Episode 1

Again I say to you! He calls us by name to His Right Hand in Heavenly Places. Let us Follow with Great Joy to be Chased by our God and Live each day in our New Selves, Fighting the Good Fight alongside our Brethren in Battle which falls from us as Prayer, earning us the Wisdom of the Good News and Hope for our Lives Eternal; while Resting in the Knowledge of the kept promises by our Poppa God, the Alpha and Omega of our very existence.

1 Peter 5:10
